My own mothering journey is what led me to this work

I entered motherhood through preeclampsia, a long hospital labour, and a C-section. It was far from the birth I had imagined.

Motherhood changed me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. It helped me find myself after years of hiding and masking as a neurodivergent and queer person, while also bringing old wounds and nervous-system overwhelm to the surface.

I love my daughter deeply, and I am also human. There are moments when exhaustion takes over and repair becomes necessary. Motherhood holds up a mirror inviting healing, honesty, and compassion, again and again and again.

If you’re longing for a space to speak your story, to be held without fixing or judgment, I invite you to begin here.

Mama Melk Stories was born from listening

Listening to mothers speak about births that didn’t go as planned.
Listening to bodies that still hold shock, grief, pride, tenderness, rage, and love — often all at once.
Listening to stories that rarely get full space in a culture that expects mothers to “move on” quickly.

This work is not about doing motherhood right.
It’s about being met where you are.

I hold space for you to tell your story — from pregnancy and birth, through feeding, weaning, identity shifts, relationship changes, and the quiet moments no one asks about.

Big Ideas, Real Impact.
